We haven't been as active here as we'd like and that's changing. Our weekly Virtual Assistant Interviews have been a lot of fun. We have a couple more scheduled through the first week in November.

It's our aim to be the source for virtual assistants everywhere. We're working hard to finish updating the site so you can join our monthly membership site for new information every month to grow your virtual businesses.

Our book, The Commonsense Virtual Assistant - Becoming an Employee, Not an Entrepreneur, is going to be used in a Chicago-area college and we'll update you with more information on that soon.

Today I'm attending the local author appreciation fair in Folsom, California. My son James Ashman wrote a fiction book, The Lupine Prince, and he is one of the local authors who will be recognized at this fair.

Editing a Book

I'm helping a young student edit her novel. She recently finished writing a romantic comedy and wants to get it published. Since English is not her first language, there are quite a few spelling and grammar corrections that need to be done. Since this young woman would like to write for a living, we agreed that I would point out to her the types of things she needs to correct and that she would go through the novel to make the corrections. Then when she writes her next book she'll have a much better idea of the things to avoid. It's been very enjoyable helping a young person who is passionate about what they do.

Are you an author who wants to write for a living? Then you need to be a business person too. That can be a little challenging. There are many aspects to consider such as expenses and marketing. Where can you find resources to help you with the business side of being an author?
